The longer you need a swine, the less swine you will need.

When researching using swine, it’s much more cost effective to start out small. Swine are excellent subjects for all kinds of research, but in studies of any length, the ordinary domestic swine simply gets too large to feed, house or handle. Our Sinclair, Hanford and Yucatan Miniature Swine on average weigh in around 20-40 kg at 6 months of age. They are bred for docility and ease of handling so they won’t crowd you out of your facility or tax your budget. For your longer studies check out the Micro-Yucatan, available exclusively at Sinclair. The Micro-Yucatan is sexually mature at 4-5 months and generally weigh only 14-15 kg.
