drug delivery evaluation. Sinclair is constructing a
complete cardiovascular program for device, drug, and
diet evaluation. In 2002, Sinclair acquired the Charles
River Laboratories miniature swine colonies and the
Maine production facility. This strategic acquisition
has created a number of possibilities for scientists.
Sinclair, an AAALAC accredited full service research
facility, offers three strains of miniature swine, namely
the Sinclair, Yucatan (mini and micro), and Hanford.
Scientists now have the benefit of the miniature swine
strain that best fit their research endeavor. Sinclair
produces miniature swine from Windham, Maine, and Columbia,
Missouri. The Maine site produces micro-Yucatan and
Yucatan. The Missouri site produces Sinclair, Hanford,
and Yucatan miniature swine. The miniature swine are
delivered either in our AAALAC accredited acclimatized
trucks or by approved airfreight companies. All animals
are well conditioned through a well-established socialization
program prior to shipping. Sinclair continues to offer
complete service support for the animal sales. Sinclair
is very experienced in pre-shipping alterations, which
are performed in the spirit of GLP. Common pre-shipping
alterations include: vascular access ports placement,
high cholesterol diet feeding, diabetes induction, test

etc. Furthermore, Sinclair collects a vast array of
bio-samples in dogs, cats, miniature swine, and sheep
